For the sixth year in succession Stobart Rail, formerly WA Developments, is proud to sponsor the Pendragon Stages Rally. The re-name follows Stobart Group's acquisition of WA Developments Limited on 4 April 2008. Stobart Rail Limited will now be integrated into the Stobart Group Plc structure and will manage the Group's rail operations.

Supporting any local event is always a pleasure for the company and the Pendragon is still considered as our local event even though we are based in Carlisle. Many of our staff members are either competing or part of the vital infrastructure which makes the Pendragon such a successful and enjoyable rally and I congratulate KLMC, EVMC & NAC for their year-long achievements highlighted by the rally.

At Stobart we are always striving to be the best at what we do and by helping to promote and train the local people to do a specific job in a highly skilled market is key to our success. This translates well into the sponsorship of the Pendragon Rally, one of the best clubman events in the country and run by a very talented group of local enthusiast and motor clubs.

This year Stobart Motorsport's WRC activities have further built upon the success of previous years and we have Italian Gigi Galli, Henning Solberg and Cumbria's very own Matthew Wilson in the Stobart VK M-Sport Ford rally team. With our improved performances this year, the guys are really focused on getting the team's first overall rally victory.
