Rally Report 2

Dougie and Sam Hall (Ford Escort Mk2) arrived at this morning's Lowther Park spectator special with a 25-second lead over second-placed Steven Hogg and Phil Short (Impreza N12) following the opening pair of stages in Warcop.
The number 11 seed reckoned it was 'brilliant' on the Ministry of Defence roads.
A wrong choice of tyres and sheep on the road held up number one seed William Stobart and Andy Richardson in their Ford Focus WRC. They were lying third overall after Warcop.
Former works Vauxhall driver Neil Wearden was enjoying his run in his Ford Escort, holding down fourth place ahead of ahead of Bruce Edwards's Darrian T9.
There were mixed fortunes for drivers arriving at the end of the first pair of stages in Warcop.
Although it's been dry and sunny this morning, weather crews have been reporting the roads have been damp in places.
Number one seed William Stobart wasn't a happy chap, telling marshals: "It's been crap so far!
I've been held up by a lethal combination of sheep and wrong tyres."
Dougie Hall was suffering from the same problems in his Evo9, and was held up at the split.
But Bob Grant and Pete Carstairs had a trouble-free run in the Subaru Impreza, saying they had had 'no worries', while Bruce Edwards and Jim Smith (Darrian T9) also had a great run through Warcop.
Darren Atkinson and Phil Sandham (Escort Mk2) were happy just to have got to the end of stage two.
"We've never made it beyond here for the last two years, so we're well chuffed!" joked Darren.
Steven Hogg and Phil Short, seeded at car 11 in their Impreza, reckoned that Warcop was 'just brilliant'
Further down the field there were problems for car 20, David Miller, who had no gears, while Mark Borthwick was experiencing diff problems in his Evo6.
